With a professional background in Medicine (MD, Dr. med.) and Social Anthropology (MA, BA), and a doctoral thesis project on women's health conducted in Tanzania, I combine my medical knowledge and inter-cultural skills on a daily basis.
As a project manager and technical advisor in SRHR, I enjoy all aspects of project coordination, carrying out evaluations and conducting qualitative implementation research.
In addition I am teaching classes on maternal and child health and qualitative methods at post-graduate and graduate level and supervise students.
In October 2018 I served as a Temporary Advisor at HRP/WHO; and was appointed a member of the Parliamentarian Group of Sexual Health and Rights in Switzerland in 2019. Since 2020 I was appointed a consultant for the Antenatal Care Research Roster at WHO.
I am accustomed to working with high profile clients including UN agencies, foundations, government institutions, professional associations and NGOs.
My geographical expertise spans from Africa (East/Central/Southern), to Asia (South/South East), Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Switzerland and I have lived in Tanzania and India. I am fluent in English and German, with intermediate knowledge in French and Kiswahili.
